Why not run as a party candidate?
• Many parties’ nomination process is a close kept secret; it is very hard to beat the party favourite, even when holding an office.
• None of the parties stood out as a favourite in the community. Some have even become complacent due to the low voter turn-out.
Why am I running?
• I want to help involve, engage and empower the citizens and be worthy of the support given to me by people who believe in me.
Why now?
• No time like the present. The atmosphere is right for a minority government where an independent is able to negotiate a better voice for her constituents.
This is not my ambition
This is my passion.
